ROPA (Swedish for “shout out”)
In January 2009 I founded ROPA together with the artists Lovisa Henoch and Mikaela Krestesen. Ropa was a non-profit, artist driven gallery for contemporary art as well as an artist group that worked to create more space for female artists. Since the start, ROPA arranged a variety of exhibitions, lectures and artist talks.

In august 2012 we completed the project “Call Out”. With a project support from Konstnärsnämden and the Culture department, we worked in various ways to highlight the teenage girl. We were interested in exploring an important period that have a significant impact on how life shapes itself. Through a variety of actions we gave the teenage girl a place to present herself on her own terms. Through a collection of diary pages written by teenage girls today and a hundred years back in time, we gained a special insight into what life is and can be. The diary pages play a central role in the project and in august 2012 we released the book DIARY 1904 – 2012 Authored by the teenage girl.
The book is hand-bound in Sweden by Allan Söderman, the pages are cut by hand to the fullest extent, to mimic the original pages that were donated to the project.
High above the clouds – Högt över molnen
I TAKE LIFE TOO SERIOUSLY! – JAG TAR LIVET FÖR ALLVARLIGT!
This text is taken from a diary page dated Christmas 2001. In august 2011, we rented a propeller plane that circulated High above the clouds in central Stockholm. We wanted to enlight and make room for a thought, a feeling witch was written by a young woman somewhere in Sweden, in public space.
BUSS 4 YOU
An important part of the project consisted of a collection of diary pages, therefore we initiated a collaboration with bus company Buss 4 you.
With the ambition to reach a nationwide distribution we places diary pages with information of the project and how to participate in seat backs of the buss.
